I sew on a Janome MC 6700P and a Brother SE1900. Both are mid-to-high level machines with some great features. If you’re just getting started, I really like many of the entry-level machines Brother offers. My best advice? Visit a local sewing machine shop and try a few out in person!

Sorry, resizing is up to you! I choose my pattern dimensions very intentionally, and I don’t offer custom sizing support. You’ll find finished measurements listed in the pattern description so you can plan ahead.

Nope! I usually don’t prewash, especially for quilts. I love the crinkly, cozy texture they get after the first wash—that’s part of the magic! That said, prewashing is a personal preference, so go with whatever feels right for your project.
